To Cruise Or Not To Cruise?

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 24th, 2008

There is a saying: you haven’t lived until you’ve cruised. Cruises today have become the hottest way to spend holidays. Researchers have found that one in four Americans dreams of cruising around the world. In recent years, discount cruises make cruising available to people of all ages and all levels of income.

What makes a great cruise vacation? First-rate accommodations, exotic locations, sumptuous meals, world-class entertainment, and top-notch facilities - all that for less money. All these features are included in a cruise package even a discount one. You can relax, get pampered, and discover new countries without the stress and jet lag most people experience during vacations abroad.

Research shows that today when picking a way to spend a vacation, people search for something that is drastically different from their everyday life. They seek to completely change the way of living - at least for a short period of time. Psychologists find that the more the difference, the better would be the rest and relaxation. That’s why people go to African safari, hike in a Guatemalan jungle, rent boats in Normandy, or stay on a small island in the Caribbean’s.

A cruise ship is extremely different from the way most people live. You can stick to a scheduled routine or you can sunbathe all day long. It does not matter if you buy full-price or a discount cruise. Even a discount cruise offers all the same features of cruise vacation. Cruise ships today offer the tourists the best of the traveling industry: spas, gyms and restaurants with lots of diet choices, facilities for kids with professional personnel, lots of sports activities from skating to tennis, casinos and even theatres.

When planning a cruise or buying a cruise package, even a discount cruise, you should always make sure to check what is included and what is not. A discount cruise package normally includes the cruise ship transportation, meals and snacks, accommodation, access to the gym and other sport facilities plus, nightly entertainment. However, gambling and spa visits are not usually standard. Most often, the cruise package includes a trip or tour to some of the exciting places on the cruise itinerary.

If not specifically discussed, you would have to pay for your flight to the port from where the cruise leaves, as well as for medical services if these are not covered by your medical plan. On board, you will have to pay for bar beverages except for those that come with meals. Be prepared to pay extra money for any visas that you need, and don’t forget about travel insurance.

You’ll find all the things included in the cruise package are listed in the travel agency brochure. If you are not sure, ask the agent beforehand so you know what to expect.

Have you read enough to start searching for the next available discount cruise package for your family? Make sure you remember these most popular cruise destinations: Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico - these are great cruising destinations all year round!

Earn Money at Home with Currency Exchange

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 20th, 2008

Today it seems everyone is searching the internet looking for quick ways to earn a buck. I have noticed a lot of new programs on the internet claming to make a lot of money. I also know that a lot of these are all scams and a quick way just to make the person selling them get rich while you are left in the cold with nothing.

So how are people working from home and earning money then if there are so many work at home scams on the internet? I have done a lot of research on forums, and just reading blogs to find out what is the big money making secret on the net today. Everyone said the money is to be made in currency exchange. So I looked into currency exchange, and I found that it is a real business first off so its not a scam which is good because its hard not to find something that isn’t a scam. Second I found that it makes a lot of money which was another good thing. The only thing I didn’t like about the currency exchange was that it was hard to learn and understand. I read forums books and they helped me out, but I still wasn’t sure how to make a lot of money.

My solution to this problem was going back online and researching helpful ways to learn currency exchange. I came across a course called Mazu. I did some research on it and found that it was a perfect way for me to finally learn the ins and outs of e currency exchange. It came with books, videos, and step-by-step instructions on how to start up in currency exchange. It went very slow which was good since I was just starting out in currency exchange.

Now let me give you a brief over view of how you make money using this currency exchange system. First you make a small investment and fun your account. You can start with as little as $25. I started with $400. Next you then place your money into the system. Each day your money makes .35% - .5% gains and is compounded every day. Usually at the end of the night I will check the system pull out my gains I made and reinvest so the next day I make more. Over the course of 2 months I was able to take my $400 investment and turn it into $4,100 with the help of the mazu guide. Now it’s a little more then that and it keeps on growing each night.

Now let me give you and example if you where to invest and start out with $1,000, and you had gains of .5% each night. If you invested $1,000 into your account each day you would make a $5 profit with .5% gains. Total this value up over the course of one month in the currency exchange program you will profit $150.00. Now that’s not bad for doing only a few minutes of part-time work each day.

Now you can see how this currency exchange system is really easy to earn money with. You are free to take out any money you make at any time. This is the perfect business if you do not have much time to sit in front of the computer. I only take about 15 minutes each night before I head off to bed to see my gains and reinvest or sometimes pull some money off the top.

Learn how I turned a $400 investment into $4,100 in under 3 months with e currency exchange. Visit E currency Online for more information.

Do I Need a Web Designer?

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 19th, 2008

When business owners decide to take business online, the question always comes up, “Do I need a web designer or can I build my own website?”

Both options are very viable, but you need to decide what’s best for you and your business. Here’s some things to consider:

If you hire a web designer, you don’t have to worry about learning how to build a website - which is a relief to many people. This means you can concentrate on the more important tasks of your business. However, do realize that building a website is not as technical as it has been in the past. There are plenty of web-building options that are basic point-and-click technology.

If you work with a designer, you will be subject to that designer’s schedule. Designers have other clients to manage and they need to prioritize any updates or changes you need to make to your website. This can be a drawback because the Internet is an amazing marketing medium where it’s easy to quick changes and test out new marketing ideas at minimal cost. When your business needs to wait for a designer to make changes, you may fall behind in your development.

Still, if you build your own website, there may be a time where you need to turn to a designer or a programmer if you need special features on your website. Of course, you can learn how to do all these things if you’re so inclined, but it can be a time-consuming and sometimes complicated task. This means if you need a message board, shopping cart or other special function, you may need to turn to a designer or a programmer for that task.

Overall, if you want to save money and have more control over your web presence, you will want to have a hand in your own web development. You might choose to use a site builder that offers many of the features you are looking for (ex. shopping cart, mailing lists, etc.) and uses the point-and-click technology mentioned earlier. That way, it’s easy for you to create an online presence without a huge learning curve and you still have time to focus on the more important aspects of business.

Looking for an even easier option to build your web pages? Take the comprehensive website builder at http://www.InternetBasedFamily.com for a 10-day test trial. You can choose from over 1200 templates and your account includes all kinds of interactive features including: message board, shopping cart, mailing list, coupons and more.

How to Get the Best Out of Trade Show Services

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 15th, 2008

You’ve heard the expression–The devil’s in the details. This is especially applicable to trade show exhibiting where success hinges on all the big and little things that constitute a trade show appearance.

The process starts with the obvious: selecting the right trade shows to attend; designing a high quality exhibit booth to properly portray your company; and arranging to get the trade show display to the exhibit floor on time.

Your trade show exhibit builder has the expertise to help you make your event a success. But it can often be any one of the following pesky details relating to trade show services, which, if overlooked, can undermine an otherwise well-planned trade show experience.

Here are ten key recommendations from “Tips & Techniques for Exhibiting Success” by Nomadic Display:

1. Study the exhibitor service manual. The manual is the key to what you need to know about each trade show. As every show has its own set of rules, regulations and deadlines, carefully examine the manual’s information. Read the fine print in exhibitor instructions, delivery information and trade show services contracts. Complete the required registration and services order forms accurately and retain copies for future reference.

2. Make a list of all the trade show services you need. If you plan for your display requirements and order well in advance, you will avoid those costly last minute services that can play havoc with your trade show budget. Make decisions about the extra utilities you need, as well as carpeting, furniture, cleaning and security.

3. Understand the trade show floor plan. Analyze the exhibit hall floor plan and your booth location in respect to traffic flow and proximity to food courts, service entrances and sound system equipment. Examine plan specifications, however small, indicating ceiling heights, pillar locations, even heating and air conditioning ducting.

4. Identify utility sources. Contact the exhibit builder to determine how much electrical power you will need for your display. Always make provisions for backup utilities to guarantee that your power-driven components will function dependably. Check the trade show floor plan to find out where the utility ports are located with relation to your space.

5. Understand drayage. Drayage involves delivering your display materials from the loading dock to their assigned space, removing empty crates, returning the crates at the end of the show and transporting the re-crated materials back to the dock.
Save money by consolidating all equipment and containers as part of one single shipment.

6. Arrange for adequate carpeting. Install your utilities first before laying the carpet to reduce the number of carpet cuts for electrical outlets. Remember to order enough carpet to cover the bare concrete strip between the display and the aisle. Order a decent quality carpet and underlayment. Your trade show booth staff’s feet will appreciate it at the end of the day.

7. Allow extra time for customs if your company is shipping an exhibit overseas. You need the correct documentation for your container contents, which may be opened and inspected at a port of entry. Use a reliable custom house broker or freight forwarder to coordinate arrangements and keep you posted as to the progress of your shipment.

8. Get to know your trade show services representatives. These are the folks employed by the exhibition organization who are paid to be helpful contacts for exhibitors. They can be of great value to you by fielding your questions and finding ready solutions to any problems you encounter at the trade show.

9. Know how best to work with union labor. As union rules differ in each city, be sure to read the showplace manual to learn what union rules, regulations and charges apply. If you have questions, contact the trade show management or the
service contractor. Consider engaging your trade show exhibit display house to provide installation supervision in order to arrange for a problem-free setup.

10. Bring all important trade show related files, contracts and paperwork to the trade show. This includes copies of trade show floor plans, exhibit installation service orders, tracking documents for all shipments, contact names, phone, fax and email numbers.

Remember that attention to the myriad details of trade show planning and execution can make or break your trade show appearance. It is important that you are familiar with the trade show rules. Call upon the expertise of your exhibit builder and show services representatives to help you have a successful and seamless trade show experience.

How Is the LEGAL SYSTEM Dishing Out JUSTICE in Your Town?

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 12th, 2008

Thankfully, most of us will never find out. That is a GOOD thing! However, if YOU are a small business owner it’s something worth knowing before one day you get kicked in the back-side.

I’ve advocated for many years - ALWAYS invest in GOOD legal
counsel; a qualified Accountant [CPA]; and Insurance Agent. The
3 most important advisors to your business success.

A little research in our town opened my eyes BIG and WIDE to
how a small business owner can suddenly find himself/herself in
deep water without a paddle or pot to go.

Just a few of my recent discoveries –

Did you know…. town Sheriff can reach inside your bank account
and take ALL your money? Got a friend in town working for the
Sherriff’s Dept? Ask him/her, they’ll tell you how it happens and you may want to ask about their bonus, too.

It doesn’t make any difference WHO YOU OWE or if checks will
start bouncing - it’s part of our LEGAL justice system - allows the “hand-of-the-law” to take your stuff and leave you screwed.

Another disturbing happening - you can be sued or counter-sued
by someone and never know it until you get a “writ of execution”
from the Sheriff’s department… when they come to sell ALL your property - equipment - and maybe leave you bankrupt as well as good vendors you own money to.

In our town you basically have to hire an Attorney to represent
you in court…. simply a “no option” decision unless you know it’s fruitless when you’re guilty hands-down… probably your town too.

What you may not know - your legal counsel is NOT required to
have malpractice insurance protection when he/she screws up the
process on your behalf. Most have it…. the problem with small
business owners is they look for the CHEAPEST not the BEST.

Courts DO NOT send notices by Registered mail either which means
they have NO proof of delivery, but WHO cares? YOU will. Only
your legal counsel supposedly gets the notices from the Courts and it’s his/her responsibility to advise you or it’s tough break for you when no one told you “courts in session” - and YOU’RE absent.

Have you ever heard of “treble” damages? It’s amazing how this
can kick you into oblivion without a trace. Just know that it does happen to the finest of small business owners.

Did you feel it? The smasher coming when you thought everything
was peachy-le-creme - maybe your best year ever? If YOU don’t
have your 3 Key Advisors yet, hire them soon. It may just
SAVE your CASH as well as your business future.

Choosing the Right Mortgage

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 12th, 2008

A mortgage is one of the biggest investments you can make. This is why choosing the right mortgage is so important. Fortunately, there are many mortgage options to choose from.

Fixed Rate Mortgages

A fixed rate mortgage is a traditional (and popular) loan that carries a fixed interest rate through the entire life of the loan. This means that your interest rate, and your monthly payment, will never change. For those who want little risk and predictable payments, the fixed rate mortgage may be the best option.

Adjustable Rate Mortgages

An adjustable rate mortgage typically comes with a low interest rate in the beginning, but the rate is not fixed. The interest rates on these mortgages (and the payments) fluctuate based on market interest rates. This rate may adjust annually or more frequently, depending on the terms of the mortgage. An adjustable rate mortgage should only be considered if you think you can manage the fluctuating payments. If you cannot afford the payment at its highest, you will be better off with a fixed rate mortgage.

Jumbo Mortgage Loans

Many lenders choose to follow the Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac guidelines for loans. These guidelines limit the amount of money that can be borrowed ($252,700). If you need a mortgage loan for a higher amount, you will need to purchase a jumbo mortgage loan. Jumbo loans are a wonderful option for those who can afford a significantly higher monthly payment. Here is a list of recommended Home Mortgage Lenders online. It’s important to use a reputable lender online to make sure your personal information is secure.

Balloon Mortgage Loans

Because the loan is due in full after five to seven years, a balloon mortgage loan usually has a lower interest rate than a conventional 30-year loan. If the loan cannot be paid off at that time, a second mortgage must be purchased. This type of mortgage is good for those who will be selling their house before the loan is due, or for those who need a lower payment and are confident in their ability to refinance when the time comes.

For a fixed or adjustable rate loan, check out ABC Loan Guide’s list of Damaged Credit Home Mortgage Loans. Also, view our suggested lenders for a Jumbo Home Loan.

The Humble Hamster: A Great First Pet for Your Child

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 9th, 2008

Thinking of getting a pet for your little ones? How about a hamster? They’re cute, inexpensive, easy to care for, and a great first pet that will teach your child how to be more responsible. Here are some things I learned during my experience as a hamster owner. I hope they aid you in your pet-purchasing decision.

- Hamsters are nocturnal creatures, so expect minimal activity during the day and a fair amount of noisemaking from the hamster cage after hours. Place the cage in a warm, draft-free, secluded spot in the house, where potential activity won’t cause a disturbance in the night. Be sure that the lid or door of the cage is securely latched tight, as hamsters are fond of making the occasional midnight escape. As a little girl I awakened many a morning to find my hamster missing, having jimmied the lock on his cage somehow. On several occasions I found him vacationing in a mouse hole behind our kitchen stove and had to coax him out with his water bottle (I’m not kidding about this). It always amazed me that he never injured himself on these wild adventures.

- Unlike guinea pigs, hamsters are solitary dwellers. Doubling or tripling up is definitely not a good idea, as hamster roommates will fight and may seriously injure each other. Your hamster will be quite content to live his adult life in his ’single room apartment.’ Be sure to provide him with a sturdy cage of either the plastic and metal store-bought variety, or a roomy fish tank with a secure top. Hamster housing essentials: a water bottle that doesn’t leak, dry cedar or pine bedding to line the bottom of the cage, an exercise wheel, and a steady supply of hamster food, all of which you can purchase at the pet store. You may also want to buy him a salt lick and a little box of hamster treats.

- Once your hamster settles into his new home, the first thing he’ll do is build himself a cozy nest. Hamsters are quite funny with their housekeeping ways. You can watch yours fill up his cheek pouches with cedar bedding until he looks just like a blowfish; it’s really quite amusing to see. Then he’ll run to the corner of the cage and unload the contents of his cheeks. He’ll do this over and over until he has a nice, big hill of bedding, and then he’ll tuck himself right into the middle and drift off to sleep. He’ll likely not want to be disturbed until the sun goes down, upon which you’ll see him venture out of his nest, have a nibble of his food and then maybe go for a spin on his hamster wheel. Your hamster will even establish a specific spot in the cage that he uses for a bathroom!

- Wet tail is a common hamster ailment that can easily be cured with medicine that you can purchase at the pet store. If your hamster has wet tail, you’ll notice his stools will be watery and he may also have a bit of a runny nose, too. Wet tail is the hamster version of a cold and should be treated promptly, as hamsters are not hearty creatures. To keep your hamster healthy and well, make sure his cage is kept in a warm, draft-free area in the house. Hamsters originate from a warm climate and therefore should not be exposed to a chill.

- Your hamster cage should be thoroughly cleaned out at least once a week. It’s best to tackle this task outside or near a slop sink in a basement or garage, as it does get messy. Empty all the bedding into the garbage, wipe down any remaining soiled parts, and then use hot, soapy water to wash out the cage. Do not clean your hamster cage with bleach, as a residue can remain that will harm your hamster if he ingests it.

- If you’ve taken your hamster out for a little fun, never leave him unattended on a tabletop or high counter, even for a second. Hamsters do not have depth perception and will no doubt make a sudden dash for the edge of the table. You wouldn’t want your hamster to break his leg, would you? On the other hand, he will enjoy a safe romp in his enclosed hamster ball. You can buy one at any pet store.

If you or your children aren’t ready for the committment that having a dog brings, try a hamster on for size. Unlike a fish, you can give your hamster a kiss. Unlike a dog or cat, you don’t need to feed him every single day or take your hamster outside. He will pretty much enjoy living a quiet hamster life in his hamster house. Sounds like the ideal pet to me!

Urchin for Free

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 6th, 2008

Google’s efforts to conquer the world -or just what is left of it- came this time to the web analytics arena.

After several months since Google acquired Urchin, they are offering free analytics service to all AdWords clients as part of their strategy to gain new clients and -indeed-keeping their existent customers and persuade them to spend even more on paid advertising instead of on a web analytics tool.

Strategically, for your business -and not for Mr. Brin and Page’s one- a web analytics tool shouldn’t be attached to a service provider, as you would like to have an impartial measurement instrument and if at some point you decide to discontinue using this provider (AdWords in this case) to still be able to have the same capabilities.
Also, you would not like to measure just Google AdWords campaigns, but Overture, Espotting, 7Search and other PPC resources you may be using as part of your Media strategy, so if you’d need to have a different web analytics tool for the other Pay Per Click campaigns, you can also have AdWords on it, instead of in a Google-only atmosphere.

It’s free, yes, but it doesn’t mean this is the cheapest way to maximize our media budget and data management.

Other point to consider -if you are an Agency- is that Google’s analytics does not allow Agencies to analyze their clients data on their behalf; it is for internal use only.

As a Search Engine Marketing professional, I’d recommend you to find a web analytics tool to track all your online activity and provide you with the feedback you need to get before taking strategic decisions, as for example ClickTracks (http://www.clicktracks.com), 3 years in a row awarded as Best Web Analytics Tool by ClickZ.

Film Projector Rentals

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the August 5th, 2008

A film projector projects reels of film onto a screen to form a continuous image. Film projectors have the need to wind and unwind the reels and adjust the arms and distance. Despite the competition from video projection, film projectors have a niche market of buyers.

Film projector rental demand comes from residences, film festivals and university and school campuses.

Film projectors come with different widths such as 8mm, 16mm and 35mm. The type of projector depends on the space available and the number of audience. The demand for 35mm comes mostly from festivals while 8mm and 16mm find demand from other segments such as residences and student shows in universities.

Many of the rental companies are either owned by the universities or reside in the campuses. The demand for film projectors is cyclical as film festivals happen during a particular period of a year. Even for residences, the demand is usually in the summer months, when families like to have get-togethers outdoors.

The rental rates for projectors depend upon the type of films. 16mm projectors have a starting rental rate of $20 per day, 35mm at $50 per day. The total rental rates go up when we consider the screens and other accessories. Most of the a/v industry rental companies hold fewer stocks of film projectors. The rental companies in the university campuses charge lower fees for student groups.

Film projectors face severe competition from video projectors. New technologies such as DLP and audio/video storage media slowly make the conventional film based technologies obsolete. When compared with video projectors, film projectors lack features to control contrast and brightness. Even with cinema halls transitioning to digital forms of projection, film based projector manufacturers are dwindling and therefore are the rental industry of film based projectors.

About Debt Consolidation Services - What You Need To Know

Posted in Marketing Center by admin on the July 31st, 2008

What Are Debt Consolidation Services?

Debt consolidation services are companies who specialize in helping you free yourself from the burden of debt. If you have debt that seems to pile up more and more each month, bills for which you can’t even afford the minimum payments, and the trend has been continuing for a long time with no end in sight, then a debt consolidation service may be just what you need to help you out of the tangle of debt you’re in.

How Can Debt Consolidation Services Help?

Did you know that your creditors are the ones who absorb most of the costs when you consolidate your debt? To those you owe, it is a better financial decision for them to accept partial payment from you than none at all if you file for bankruptcy or simply never pay. A debt consolidation services company representative will stand up for you and negotiate with those you owe and decrease your overall debt as well as get rid of interest payments and taxes.

What Do the Creditors Gain From Debt Consolidation Services?

The reason why your debt is so high is not necessarily because you spent too much money. Your debt may be due in large part to the high interest rates and fees that accrued as the months passed without payment. Creditors usually recoup at least the original expenses - that is, the amount the bill was originally before it was doubled and tripled or even quadrupled by over limit and late payment fees and interest charges.

Additionally, creditors can write off all the money they lose in interest and fee payments on their taxes so as long as they still get the original amount that you owe them, they have nothing to lose.

What Do You Get From Debt Consolidation Services?

You get to combine all your bills into one bill payment every month. You get one payment that is considerably lower than all your other bills were before. Your phone will stop ringing off the hook with creditors calling you and asking for money. Your stress will dramatically decrease knowing that you have taken the steps to get yourself out of the downward spiral of debt.

All of this starts when you employ a specialist in debt consolidation services.
