Members of the Royal Family share tens of hundreds of royal appointments annually, throughout England as officially documented in the Court Circular, to admire, promote and be taught about the achievements or performances of people organisations and firms in a mixture of sectors of life. As representatives of the sovereign, they often join the British Nation in celebrating recorded incidents, festivals, celebratory & disastrous incidences & typically also funds or partakes in selected charitable, educational & public activities.
Their travels abroad on behalf of the U.K. (called State Appointments when the sovereign officially visits other state officials) attracts public interest to great interactions within & between the Commonwealth & other nations, to British freight and trade, & to Britain as a historical, vacation, & holiday location. Their present functions and established tasks adds up to the apex of a contemporary “royal court,” & give a uniquely British & historical vision to royal procedures (E.g. Trooping the Colour) & outlook to public demonstrations (Like that of the Garden Parties, Ascot).
During their lives they draw immense press exposure in the shape of photographic, printed & radio commentary on the topic of their daily activities, family associations, means of passage, characters, fashion, actions, & public functions.
Funding
Cash that aid the Royal Queen in the running of her tasks as the head of state of the United Kingdom comes from the Civil List. This is a return of a tiny portion of the takings from the Crown Lands that are surrendered by the Queen to parliament at the appointment of every reign; all Crown Land being controlled by The Crown Estates, an association that is exclusively accountable to parliament. In the 2003-04 fiscal year, the total presented was ?176 million, where the Head of State’s outgoings was merely ?36 million. The Queen’s payments doesn’t however include the charge of guards.
